Second Chances With Kemoy Campbell
Not many people can say they’ve lived to tell the story of dying, but it’s one that Kemoy Campbell can share. Kemoy, a retired Jamaican distance runner, suffered a cardiac arrest in 2019 during the Millrose Games. Thanks to the quick action of a bystander who performed CPR, and a defibrillator that was on-site that saved his life.
He shares his amazing story with Lewis Johnson in this episode of All In With Esports. (You can also see more about this story here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IA_T4R0FqdA).
Kemoy discusses what he remembers from that day, and what life has been like since this massively life-altering event. He also talks about how he’s using this new opportunity on life to help and impact others.
One thing that we want to point out from this interview, is the importance of being CPR and AED certified. It’s this certification that saved Kemoy’s life. We would love to see more people ready to give the Gift of Life should they suddenly find themselves in an emergency situation where someone needs those skills to survive.
