Creating Her Own Path in Gaming and Esports

Erin Ashley Simon joins us to talk about her career in the esports and gaming space, in the entertainment business, and as an entrepreneur.

She is a Gaming & Entertainment Host and co-owner of XSET, but her deep commitment to giving back stands out in her career path. Whether it is signing a contract with a brand, or thinking of projects, Erin has this drive of thinking of those less privileged first and figure out a way of providing them with tools for their progress.

In this episode, our conversation revolves around Erin’s first steps in the industry, her beginning writing a blog for McDonald’s All-American Games, and the exposition that helped her realize she was more into journalism and entertainment than into kinesiology, which she was studying at the time. We also talk about providing value, generation connections without being transactional, how to achieve confidence in what we do, and more.
